Who are we?

“SEED” stands for Student Employability and Entrepreneurship Development.

The SEED Project is your catalyst for growth. It’s an opportunity to grow your skill set and career success, while studying towards your tertiary qualification(s).

If you’re worried about your chances of securing a job after graduation or making a good impression in the working world, SEED will help you put your best foot forward.

What we do?

The job market is a fiercely competitive space. The worst part is that nothing really prepares you for it.

With SEED, we can change that; by developing the right skills to thrive in the world of work.

Funded by the Department of Higher Education and Training, SEED exists to develop valuable entrepreneurial skills and nurture student entrepreneurship through:

  • Employability workshops
  • Networking activities
  • Peer mentorship

What’s in it for you?

The ‘SEED skills’ you acquire through workshops and networking may improve your chances of landing a job, or better yet, starting your own business. Peer mentorship can help you tap into your true potential and build your professional confidence.

At Nelson Mandela University, we don’t just develop future employees, we develop future entrepreneurs.
