When and why was SEED started?
The Nelson Mandela University SEED Project was launched in May 2021 to develop the employability skill set of our students and enable an environment of support for student entrepreneurs.
Who can join SEED?
SEED is open to all students currently registered at Nelson Mandela University who do, or want to, run their own enterprise or simply develop their employability potential. Participants must have access to a mobile device and the internet.
Do I need to pay to join SEED?
No, your participation is free of charge. SEED is fully funded by the national Department of Higher Education and Training’s University Capacity Development Grant.
If I join, must I take part in all activities?
No, you can register for the programmes that meet your needs.
Do SEED activities require task submissions?
Yes. Moodle will be used for all written, audio, and video submissions.
