We all learn from experience, and at SEED, we find value in learning from the experience of others. SEED programmes are designed to bring you closer to self-development opportunities and job leads through planned activities like networking, coaching and peer mentoring. These activities can maximise your professional potential, boost your social, academic and entrepreneurial confidence, and help you secure good references in the process.

How SEED peer mentorship works

The programme comprises eight mentorship teams, each led by a peer mentor with work experience and proven entrepreneurial skills. Your assigned mentor will lead you through six virtual mentorship sessions over six months. The sessions will cover guiding principles and topics to benefit your business and academic performance.

You will:

  • receive guidance from your assigned peer mentor
  • grow your skill set as a student entrepreneur through written/audio/video assignment submissions
  • find your balance between academics and running a business
  • learn how to manage your personal and business finances
  • grow your business profile
  • connect with and learn from individuals who challenge you.

We believe that over the six-month mentorship period, we can tap into your growth potential as an entrepreneurial thinker and a successful Nelson Mandela University student. Take this opportunity to learn from others who have walked your path and are already where you want to be.
